With over 12 years of practice in a variety of settings, David Javier Lopez is an accomplished medical professional in the field of Psychiatry. He has experience in many areas of general adult psychiatry, including both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Before founding Psychiatry Networks, Doctor Lopez worked in the following areas of mental health:

Dr. Lopez earned his graduate degree at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. He also holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Minnesota's Medical School, and a BA in Russian Studies from Brown University in Providence, RI, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Lopez also studied abroad in Russia and Spain during his collegiate years. During his studies, Dr. Lopez was active in many student organizations and extra-curricular activities, including the Psychiatry club, the varsity football team, the newspaper, and the student government association. Born and largely raised in the Buckeye state of Ohio, Doctor Lopez obtained his secondary school education from Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Lopez is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Russian. He is a licensed private pilot. He has held many jobs that have given him experience in areas besides psychiatry; most notably working as a translator at Brown University, as an intern at Merrill Lynch, and working as a senior research technician at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Dr. Lopez possesses a strong desire to help improve society, as well as to work on the front lines in the field of mental health. He is committed to improving access to quality health care and empowering the individual in their healthcare choices. By leveraging cutting edge communications and medical technology, Dr. Lopez's goal is to bring top-notch clinical services and education to people wherever they may be, whenever they need them, and in the most efficient fashion possible.
